A little inspirational quote for all of us
Christmas and New Year's were great...for DH and myself.
A lot of the BM's we blog about seem to make promises to their kids, but fail to act on them.
That happened for the SDs.
In an unusual move, BM promised the kids that they could spend Christmas with her at her parents' home. She didn't follow through. You know what she did instead?
She flew out of state to see her pedophile "fiancee" for Christmas. She made a promise to her kids, she broke it and then she wrote about her Christmas celebration with him on myspace. As you may know, this man is a true deadbeat dad and doesn't pay CS to the BMs of his children and he makes no effort to contact his children. He's a child molestor though, so I think he's prohibited from having contact with anyone under 18.
I just feel so heartbroken for the kids. BM chooses a pedophile over her own kids .
That having been said, I know that a lot of us here (and our families and friends) have been through a lot lately. One quote that has been helping me to de-stress is from Chapter 3, Ecclesiastes, vs. 1-8 in the Bible. I think this quote is relevant for everyone, regardless of our differing religious beliefs. I hope that this brings some peace to your day!
"1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace."
