She's old enough to watch other children. But not old enough to watch herself?
I love when BMs twist the custody agreement and use it when it's convenient for them.According to BM,SD is old enough to be a babysitter with paid babysitting jobs for other kids at the kids house BUT sd is NOT old enough to be left home alone for a few hours.
Does this make sense to anyone? It doesn't make sense to me.Bm has some event to go to thanksgiving weekend and we're now stuck with SD all weekend bc and i quote, 'I don't want to have to hire a sitter for her and the agreement says you get her the whole weekend thanksgiving even if it's not your weekend'
Now,keep in mind that EVERY SINGLE YEAR when it's our turn to have Sd for thanksgiving,BM has ALWAYS made Dh return sd thanksgiving night or the following morning to go shopping for black friday.
So we never follow the agreement and suddenly BAM! we have to follow the agreement.
AND i wanted to add, she got all steamed up the other night bc we dared drop sd off an HOUR early.OMG.She called and chewed DH's ear off about it and he finally ended up hanging up on her.SD wanted to go home bc she had a homework assignment that she left there and wanted time to do it before bed.Again, back to the old, she's old enough to watch other kids but not old enough to watch herself.
I'm frustrated to say the least.DH and I had planned an out of state trip with our motorcycle group in honor of my graduating to a bigger motorcycle finally.I'm so disappointed.
OH I'm still going on the trip lol no way am i staying home with little sourpuss SD who will be angry bc DH refuses to go to the stores on black friday.I'm just really sad and angry that I will be riding in the group and DH won't be on the bike next to me:(

Hypocrisy runs rampant in the BM world, eh? We just got served a motion to show because we dared take SD home when the school couldn't reach BM after skid missed the bus on BM's day. "Denying visitation"...yeah right...answer your damn phone when the elementary school calls, MOTY. And never mind the 100+ days this year she couldn't take the kids because it didn't fit her schedule. I hate hypocrisy.

I know.I'm so sick of the double standards and hypocrisy. If it's ok for BM to do something, fairness would be it's ok for us to do it too.
That is ridiculous. If she
That is ridiculous. If she can watch other kids, OBVIOUSLY she can stay at home by herself. It's almost comical that the BM would say she can't stay home alone. How old is this kid?

14.according to our state laws kids as young as 9 can stay home for a few hours alone. Now i wouldn't leave a 9 year old home alone but i would leave a 14 year old home alone.

Wow we get this too. She flipped out on my BF for leaving SD12 home alone last week she was with us. She came home from BM's sick again so BF took her to the Dr. got her meds then took her to our house. She was home alone probably 4 hours and she slept for about 2 hours. But as soon as she wakes up she texts BM because she is bored. So BM calls BF and chews him out for leaving "baby girl" home alone. According to her he should have taken her straight to BM so BM could take care of her. BF responded with if you were so worried about taking care of her why didn't you take her to the Dr. last week? **crickets** He said that's what I thought and hung up. Loved it!!!! and it shut her up for a bit too LOL
