Had a Big Sis talk with my siblings......

I basically advised them to NEVER EVER under any circumstances marry into a step situation. They are both young, beautiful, smart and have great personalities and are always talking about how tough the dating scene is and how much more serious people with kids seem about marriage and family. I told them that while there are situations that might work out for everyone in a blended family, they are way too far and in between to even waste your time.

DH took a call last night from his other family. I could hear them squealing with excitement from aross the room. Apparently, SS11 and his band of brothers-from-another-mother beat some poor kid senseless because the kid insulted SS's b-ball skills. BM was so proud. DH is so proud and even told SD so. But the celebration didn't stop there. DH proceeded to call and/or text every number in his cell phonebook to brag about how his son is, in fact, a bruiser! So, take that all ye who dared call SS effiminate. He's not girly or a sissy....he's a neanderthal!

Finances

I feel that if it weren't for the financial inequity, most of DH's income going to BM or toward skids, our relationship would be much better. I feel that I could deal with the other junk much easier if money issues weren't adding insult to injury.

Does anyone else feel that way?

(vent) Skids are BEGGING to go home....

Bios and I are helping them pack. Why is it that DH is the only one trying to make them stay?????? Get over it already! They're bored, they're tired of us, we're frustrated, we're tired of them. I wish he would man up and let it go! I cannot get over how screwed up the visitation schedule with these people is and how everyone is pretending its in the best interest of the children. I spoke with DH's attorney a couple of weeks ago and even he admits that the visitation needs to be changed.

SS11 is now doing this sarcastic 'brother' 'sister' thing. DH had a talk with him earlier this summer about what it means to belong to a family unit. He explained the relationship between stepsisters and brothers and how they should treat each other, which of course, didn't go over well with the Center of Our Universe, so, in his usual obnoxious spirit, SS has taken to ending every sentence to Bios with 'sister' or 'brother.' I told bios to ignore it, skids'll be gone in 1 week and 2 days anyway.

Hahahahahahahahhahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ow, my side..........

So, to make a long story short, BM called on last week and tried, once again, to get everyone (me, DH, MIL) riled up because things have obviously been too calm since her last psychotic rage. Fortunately, we were all prepared and totally let the wind out of her sails. When none of her ranting and raving seemed to get her the reaction she wanted, she threatened to...wait for it....

pick the skids up early!

I can't stop laughing at her logic. "Okay, BM, we'll see you soon. Have a safe trip! You need gas money?"
