BM finally moved out of FDH dad's house!
I've waited four years to celebrate this. She is out and not coming back. There toward the end it did look like she planned to move back in in 6 months and I thought she was going to dump her dog on us. Hooray she figured it out like a big girl and got it all handled. For background it is a long story but to try to sum it up, my FDH's dad bought a house "for the kids" to keep pumkin 1 & 2 in "the school district". Well it was suppose to be until they finished high school, well in a few months they will be able to legally drink. She hardly paid anything while she lived there.

Quiet nice holiday--since the skids I had forgotten what those were like.
Future DH took his class on a field trip--university professor. Anyway, the princess was moving and I found it hilarious she had to do it herself. Moving into an apartment she thinks she's all adult, well I tell you what honey unless you pay everything you're still a baby in my eyes and a spoiled one at that. But I made it real clear do not even think about asking me for help.
What is it with people from FDH past?
Is it that these women who are married to friends and co-workers worried that they'll get divorced? Is it that hard to see someone move on and let their adult children move out and on? We are on a couples only vacation and we had to stop for FDH to do some work at the university of Wyoming. The couple here we are staying with put us in the sun room...all windows no curtains and everyone in the house can see in the room.

Have to have the talking to with the SS tonight about his inappropriate behavior
My mom just passed away and I am a mess. Before you send me too much sympathy let me say we didn't have much of a relationship. She threw me out at 15 and so the relationship died a lot longer before the body that was walking around did. But I'm still upset--finally grieving that I didn't have a mom. And no I was not a bad kid, I got good grades and had a job at 15. My mom wanted to marry a 24 year old and she was 42 and she didn't want me around anymore. She threw out my 18 year old sister and drove my foster brother back to the boys home.
Anyone else have a "lovely" 4th?
So SO decides to have 4th party, prep for hours, cook, clean the entire nine yards. Mostly all that show up are men. I have to deal with guns in my living room--my stepmom shot my dad so guns in the living room not my idea of fun.
Then that stops to the lovely SS showing up, walks in past me never says hello, plugs in his phone, opens the refrig takes a beer offers everyone one, doesn't offer me one, and he is not old enough to drink.

Ladies a big thank you to all of you!
Ladies, this weekend I had to do a grueling upgrade--I'm a Applications Developer and we've been working on this thing for 2 years as a team. The rollout started Friday at 5pm, we are still at it--the "Users" or "Customers" will get the system on Wednesday. Can we say rock-n-roll with the problems then. Well a lot of the time these last few days has been hurry up and wait, and you ladies kept me entertained. I mean the SD took my van out--I know because the seat was moved forward was priceless--the nerve of the brat.

How do you deal with the female nature and the competitiveness?
OK--ladies I'm probably bringing up a topic that we all know about and don't discuss, or may be you as a group are more enlightened than me and openly discuss it and I missed it.
