I just want to say I'm grateful.
Just wanted to say thank you everybody for the positive advice and feedback. These few days have been the first time that I've done a website like this and I truly think it's amazing. What is the definition of disengaging?
I have gotten advice to disengage but not how to. My idea of disengaging means to "back off". Let her father take care of things and handle punishments. Does that sound about right?

How do I go on vacation with an unappreciative, mean, hurtful step daughter?
I posted a blog regarding my 17-year-old stepdaughter and I's situation. I got a lot of response to disengage. This is very fresh for me with the disengagement because it's only been a few days. Which is actually starting to help ease some of the hurt. Thank you for those who gave me positive responses.
How to deal with anger and hurt without being passive aggressive?
My step daughter who lives with us is 17 years old. I married her father when she was 12. Unfortunately she has mother issues. I have opened my home, heart and everything to this child. I have done everything I can to heal her broken heart. Apparently it's not enough!!!
