Not only step-mom, but Birth Mom, too!

cat1964's picture

Not in the way you think, I gave my child up for adoption when I was 17, now he is 29 and he lives off his adopted parents, they pay for everything and he has no respect or conscience, been to jail 5 times, married a 36 yr old when 21. I could have raised him that badly myself. Can anyone point me to a sight which could help me with this mess????

Visitation

cat1964's picture

Sometimes SD11 does not want to go to her mother's for her visit, does anyone know how this is handled legally? She is too scared to tell her mother she doesn't want to come and if she works up the nerve to tell her, BM starts promising things to entice her into coming and then she usually renege so said things. But what can we do besides going to court?

Broken.

cat1964's picture

I was just sitting here reading blogs and it occurred to me "I am broken and my SD and MIL are the ones who did it. The saddest thing is I don't know if I can ever be fixed! I don't go anywhere, I rarely talk to anyone other than SO, I have started having hygiene issues, meaning I don't want to bathe, fix hair or wear make-up. Also, I keep my house clean and neat, but now I am letting that slide. I don't call my son, unless it is for something special. I don't want to be any kind of intimate with my SO. It's like I am on auto pilot to just EXIST.

9 days

cat1964's picture

It is now three days until SD goes to BM for Thanksgiving for 9 BLISSFUL DAYS, so that is 72 hours, minus 8 hours of school x 3 days-24hours and 9 hours of sleep x three nights -27 hours. 72-24-27= 21 hours I have to see, smell and hear her. Can I make it? I hope so!

Give-up?

cat1964's picture

When is the time to give up? My SO says when it comes to children "you raised and guide them until they are 13 or 14, then you turn them loose and see how you have done". So, I guess this means if SD11 hasn't gotten it by then, we can send her to mother and say "We did all we could?"One can only hope.

EWWWWWWW

cat1964's picture

I now have definitive proof my SD11 is the second(only to her mother) grossest, most nauseating, disgusting person on the planet, she still wets the bed as we know from my other blogs. So, last night she wets the bed and she is on her period, well of course there was bloody piss everywhere and she shoved all the linens in the washer colors and whites (with blood all over them) together and did not use bleach, so now pads are stained and I rewashed them myself w/bleach twice. Then on top of all that she did not take a shower before she left for school. I am so sickened by this.

Divorce rate?

cat1964's picture

I read somewhere, the divorce rate among second marriages/relationships where the man has daughter(s) and new wife/woman becomes a step-mother is somewhere around 80%, I told this to my SO and he said "what is it for second marriages/relationships where man has daughter(s) and the new wife/woman becomes a step-mother and has no children of her own". He seems to think it is higher; basically, because I have had no children, that is the problem we are having.

Bed.

cat1964's picture

So,SD11 was told no new bed until she stops peeing bed, this was a decision her father and I came to, so today her father let his mother buy her a new bed. What is wrong with this picture? Comments?!!!!
