When is Cutting in on Two People Dancing OK, and when is it not OK?
I want to thank everyone for their thoughts about this. I should explain that I don't see anything wrong with a son asking his mother for a dance at his wedding-- that's perfectly normal and understandable. I suppose it's the way in which he did this. He swooped in on the two of us, yelling, "Mamma!" and whirled my wife away, leaving me standing there empty-handed. I dunno. In light of the history of the tense relationship between this SS and myself, I think that this is a tad insensitive and impolite.
Wife hasn't slept in our bed for two nights
Well, this is the second night my wife hasn't slept with me since we've returned from the wedding. We've talked about it, and that alleviated some of the anger on both sides, but I still feel she's holding a grudge about what happened. It's leaving me cold. I don't like these feelings I'm having. It feels like this stepson is driving us apart.

Stepson driving a wedge between my wife and me
Just got back from my stepson's wedding, where my stepson cut in on my wife and me while we were dancing. I simply walked away. I seethed with rage for some time, before deciding to leave. I told my wife that I was leaving. She begged me to at least say goodbye to her son, which I told her I could not do. Now I'm in the dog house. Details about the wedding: we never met the girl or her family until the day before the wedding, at the wedding rehearsal. He's dated her for 6 months, and she's pregnant.
