So my DH being the professional that he is, has continued to work as if nothing happened. Yesterday a friend from his last job called him to ask him what he thought as the freaking owner of the company called him to offer him DH's job! DH being professional told him he was happy for him and he would help him with the transition. HOWEVER, he later found out that they split his job in three! Yes, they instead hired 3 people to do DH's job and are paying each 1/3 of what they paid DH.

So today the owner goes to tell DH that he wants to give him the laptop as a gift. DH said it was not necessary and he insisted. An hour later the owner comes in and hands him a contract to sign to be a sales person instead! DH lost it, although professionally...told him that he was professional til the end, but that he would not work for them. That had they not gone behind his back to announce to people he was leaving or had told him before that the company had financial issues and that they needed him to take a paycut and do 1/3 of his work, like they offered the others, he would have understood...but that their poor professionalism with him after the way he has conducted himself if he wanted a job, he would just call the competition! Lol aholes!

I guess they have already heard the competition is happy and ramping up and now realize they fcked up! Too bad.

You treat people with respect, you get respect back...otherwise, deal with the consequences!
