DH finally got to talk to the skids last night

They've been gone since Monday and he's been trying to get ahold of them ever since.
BM finally called him back with the skids to talk.
Of course, she was opening their brand new soccer and cheer-leading jerseys at that exact moment.
So maybe 15 seconds of actual talking "hi daddy, i miss you! oohhhhhhhhh loooook daddy new outfits! love you daddy, bye!"

Well, at least they got to hear his voice and know he wanted to speak to them. Baby steps...

Sometimes it is really hard
Sometimes it is really hard to get kids to engage in phone coversations. Especially when they are distracted. he should call them again this weekend.

Oh I know. So does BM. She intentionally distracts while they're on the phone with him. That has always been the case with her.
And coincidentally, she only allows him to call during peak-distraction times.
