Is September here YET?
My SS20 has been living here for the summer while he works nearby. Normally the SKIDS would only be here every other weekend or so. It isn't even August and I can hardly stand it anymore!! I love my DH but I didn't sign up for summer long custody!! He's a pretty good kid, but all he does is sit on his a$$ like our house is Club Med or something. And the bitching and complaining ... he is like a miniature version of his mother. Doesn't he have someone to visit for a weekend or two??
What happens after sir-lazy-ass graduates from college? I certainly hope he isn't planning on living here. I might have to get my own place.

I can totally imagine that is
I can totally imagine that is what our house would be like if SD21 actually got an internship at DH's company! The scenario you described is what I fully expected. She asked DH if she could live with us while she worked by DH because we live much closer. I'm so glad it didn't happen! Whenever she is here, she complains the minute she arrives that our house is too hot, "How do you live like this????!!!" and that she's starving. Of course, when dinner is ready, she just picks at it because she stuffs her face with cheese and crackers right before dinner. The complaining is what would bug me the most. As it is, I wish she'd leave as soon as she gets here!
A 20 year old man complaining
A 20 year old man complaining about a free place to live, free electric, water, gas (if you have gas), phone, roof, and food... Without having to contribute to even feeding himself... Yeah, poor darling little Princess has it so hard.
My SD texted her friends how hooooorrrrrible her poooorr little life was. I told her I would love to let her experience living a horrible life for the summer, and then perhaps she would appreciate having a home and food (she eats MORE times and *bigger portions* than my 220 lb factory-working husband who burns calories working physically 12 hour shifts- as in I only got a half serving of spaghetti one night because darling ran in and made her own plate and PILED IT UP - I told her she would eat every single noodle and nothing else for dinner the next x days until she ate it all.. She ate it all that sitting...)
But yeah, tell him when he pays the bills and supports himself, he can whine, bitch, and complain all he wants, until then, I would expect "thank you for making dinner" and "please/thank you" at all times.
