Last night went well

SD went to grandma's last night, not to happy though, I could tell.

I got home and SD was still there. She was getting ready to head out and I could tell she didnt want to go but she did. The night went well.

A poster in my previous blog asked why SD16 needs a sitter? That is complicated. To me she does not but with all her issues she can not stay alone because there is no one there to focus on her and then becomes anxious and freaks out. Take for instance next weekend. My BS21 and BS14 are staying home. My mother lives 3 houses down the street. She will be feeding them of course and checking up on them. We live on a dead end street. No traffic, and all our neighbors have known me and my children for omg 11 years since i bought the house. They have known DH and SD for 5 years, since we got married and they moved in. So for her to have to go to grandmas is stupid and i agree espicially since BS21 is home and he is not one of those wild 20's kid. He is very responsible and i feel 100% safe with my boys being home all weekend. Actually my 21 year old has the whole weekend planned for him and his brother. Everyday they will be at my mothers eatting though. So I have given my mother money for the weekend to feed them. She offered to feed SD if she wanted to stay and I did talk to her about this awhile ago (before they left) she said no....So OK go to grandma's. What else can we do. :?

Other than this very much looking forward to next weekend. i will be calling home to check on boys and i have no problem DH checking on SD. We will be gone 5 days. Its the constant calls i do not want. My boys will never call me, that is just how they are. Even though my boys are 6 1/2 years apart they get along amazing. My 14 year old adores his brother. Since he has been home from college his brother is attached to his ass. Luckely the girlfriend is in boston and hasnt come down yet so my oldest doesnt mind. But even when shes around they allow him to hang which is great. My SD hardely talks to them and they really dont care. They think she is NUTS! LOL....

I think I have gone off track with this blog....So I'll stop now! LOL

Daisy- Im so happy to hear things are pretty much going as planned!! I was really rooting for you & your DH to make it!!! You can truly tell you both genuinly love each other!! Just keep standing your ground with SD.

Just as a side thought. Since your SD seems to be challenged in the social arena, is there something she is "into"? I truly think if she is nudged into getting involved in something with her peers, that she can really start to open her wings up if you will. Some type of hobby, sport or maybe a church youth group?

Honestly, I think it would be a good idea for her to start focusing on making friends & doing things normal teens do, would not only be helpful to her, but most importantly to your marriage. She needs to start focusing on her as an individual & start to cut the cord, if you will with her Dad. Talk with her & DH and see what she would be interested in. Also, since she is now driving, a part time job would be awesome!!!

Keep up what your doing, keep the dating going with DH. Its a good thing Smile

Good to hear that SD is sticking to the rules, even if she doesn't like it. I think it sucks that you had to let them move back in tho. You weren't ready for that.

Keep us posted with the updates. I truly hope that DH is willing to stick with it this time.
