Not having a good day today!
I was on a cleaning frenzy all morning and the whole time I was dreading going into SD8's room to clean/vaccume etc but I knew it had to be done...GOD forbid she does it herself. As soon as I opened the door to her room, I was almost knocked over by the smell. We have to keep her door closed because of the pee smell from her wetting the bed. Anyways, I reluctantly went in to invesitgate and searched and searched ALL over for the source and was about to give up when I decided to check behind her dresser. OMG, I found 3 pairs of smelly pants and underwear that was soaked in pee at one point!! I havent cleaned anything since. I am NOT in a good mood right now and I plan on having a long talk with Dad when he gets home from work. Some of you told me to expect things to get worse after BM decided to give us full custody and move to Florida....I guess I am now starting to see it. She was doing alot better at not having daytime accidents (down to 1-2 a week from 4-5 a week) but is still wetting the bed every single night. Now she is back to having multiple accidents during the day again!! I know she is going through an adjustment period because of mom leaving but come on.....she is 8 years old still wetting her pants almost everyday!!! I just cant deal with her hiding her clothes and or sitting on the furniture in pee pants and I am NOT looking forward to having to wash her clothes on a daily basis either!!! Sorry, I am not having a good day and I needed to vent a little.

She is 8, so she can reach
She is 8, so she can reach the washer and do her own laundry. If she is still wetting to bed and having daily accidents, that needs to be her job. She NEEDS to learn to care for herself properly. If she won't do it, then DH/SO gets to do it. She is HIS child after all.
It also sounds like she needs to be in therapy to deal with her abandonment issues. If she isn't there already, call some and get her an appointment. It could really help with the accidents. You will want to take her to her doctor and have them check her for any physical reason this may be happening. Once the doctor rules out medical issues, you will know it is all psychological.
And, it is time to put her in pull ups or adult diapers if she is going to keep this up. You will also want to contact her school to see if it has been happening there. I can't imagine being her age and wetting myself. The other kids making fun of me would be to horrible. But if it is happening there, you may have to make arrangements with them, keeping extra clothes there, that sort of thing,
Yes, she is old/big enough to
Yes, she is old/big enough to wash her own clothes but she wont and Dad doesnt make her or enforce the rule that she has to. I do have her wear a diaper to bed which helps alot, but your right, she needs to start wearing one during the day if she is going to continue wetting herself. We have rules out any medical reasons as to why she is doing it. I came up with my own diagnosis. She has what I call lazyitis. She doesnt have accidents at school or in front of her friends which again, corrilates with my diagnosis. She knows exactly what she is doing.
