I am trying to figure out how to receive a notification when a post I made or commented on receives new comments. I want to stay active in the threads but I can't always remember exactly which posts I've commented on.. so that I can go back and see if there were any new comments.

Is there a way to activate new comment notifications on the blogs or forums?
I have been "bookmarking" things but wondering if there is a better way
