PITA 16 gave me a HUG before he left for prom tonight! I was pretty much staying out of the way as he was getting ready. No date, just small town, and several of the older guys on the basketball team decided to take the younger team members and just go have a guy night... I snapped a few photos while Loghead helped him with the cuff links. Loghead left to go get ready, since he also had prom tonight-chaperoning for the school where he works. PITA asked me to help with the tie, so I did, and Loghead came out just in time to get a few photos. While PITA was texting, I handed him $20 and told him to use it for gas or dinner. He allowed me to take several pictures of him and even a few of his friends when they arrived to pick him up. Infront of a car- load of teenage boys, he gave me a hug and said, "thanks, mom!"

I'm liking this new turn I see in PITA. Maybe he's really growing up...
