I can't believe that things that kids SHOULD BE DOING (such as NOT getting pregnant, not doing dugs, or even graduating from HS) now pass as "achievements." Excuse me??? Should I really be praising you because you managed to make it out of HS with a C- average and no baby???

Doing these things does not replace all the other things you SHOULD be doing, such as helping around the house and getting a part time job to pay for "wants." The last time my parents bought me something, other than birthday presents, was in middle school and I am a much more responsible and independent adult because of it. Once I was of age, if I wanted something it was on me to get it for myself. I am so sick of entitled brats thinking people need to hand over a new car or a wad of cash just because they managed to make it out of HS. Don't get me wrong, I am all for supporting achievements and I am not opposed to graduation presents, but c'mon! Congrats on not knocking up your 16 year old GF but this does not mean your parents OWE you a DAMN THING!
