My guy of 7 years is headed on a "all guys" snowmobile trip next weekend. I suppose I would be expected to stay with the SD (10 years old) - like I have so many times in the past. Which I have gotten resentful of. But I am no longer making myself a convenient sitter. I am making plans to go with a couple of my gal friends for that weekend. I told him I would not be around that week-end either. Shocking! I will not be home to watch the SD. Ahhh, how nice it is to be just the Step Mom - and say guess YOU will have to find a sitter!

My plans may have fallen apart. It seems it is so hard for the women to get away from their families. Much esier for the guys to get away. Sad

I will permanently shred my man card for this ..... but, mothers never get time off.

Stupid, that is great... wish I could say that. Maybe one of these days....

BM lives 5 hours away. Daddy has her during school year. BM has her during Summer. BM is a piece of work....

I may just get a room with a hot tub and take a good book for the week-end. Ahhhh - sounds wonderful.
