Well, I did it.
My step daughter was here again on the weekend and was poorly behaved, as usual. She is still peeing in her pants and even DH said that DD(21 months)acts more mature that his daughter (she's 11).
We actually sat down to talk and think of what we can possibly do and he told me to report the neglect/emotional abuse to Child Protective Services. I wrote them an email and gave my name and phone number in case they have any questions. I think that 5 years of her peeing in her pants and the mom not doing anything would certainly qualify as neglect. I'm disgusted by how that woman has let her child get to this point and has done nothing. DH, in my opinion is just as guilty, I think he should have been more persistant and fought for his child. Well, now we wait and see what happens, I hope she gets some help. If she is removed from the mom's house DH will need a DNA test to prove he's the father before we can resume visitation. I'm sure they must have a file on her as the brother (different dad) was removed a few years back due to emotional abuse by the mother. He then proceeded to use drugs and steel cars and ended up in juvie. He now lives with his dad's parents.
It does say on their web-site that they will investigate all reports within 5 days.
I asked to remain anoyomous but I'm not sure she could dislike me more than she already does anyway so if my name is mentioned it really wouldn't bother me.
