Small Acts of Self Care During Times of Uncertainty.....
Hi StepTalkers!
In light of all the uncertainty that has been going on I wanted to shine a light on small acts of self care that we can focus on to help decrease any stress and/or anxiety you may be experiencing. Feel free to add to these.
- Hydrate~ drink plenty of water
- Go to bed earlier and get plenty of rest
- Take a soothing shower/bath
- 10 minutes of stretching
- 5 minutes or so of Meditation
- At least 5 deep breaths to help regulate you
- Journal your thoughts and feelings
- Exercise~ any form of movement

Practice some form of escapism: a good book, a good movie, meditating, listening to some soothing music... I have some relaxation DVDs. One is a sunny beach with waves crashing. The other is a forest stream; birds chirping and the water.
