OT - Thankful Thursday | StepTalk.org

I know it's a little late, but it's been a hectic day. Ha, hectic week! Why is it that a 3-day weekend pretty much gets you geared up to work your hiney off, cramming 5 days of work into 4? Sigh...

I am thankful for:

My job. As crazy as it is - and despite some of the poopheads - I like my job and my coworkers. And I must be doing something right because I got that promotion. So...
I am thankful for my boss's faith in my abilities and pray that I don't disappoint.
Having great friends. The kind you know will be there for you, just like you are there for them. You simply cannot put a pricetag on that.
My DH. He works HARD and is often exhausted. But he's never too tired to show that he loves me, whether it's with affection, telling me, 'showing' me by fixing something, or thinking about me when his work gives them gift options (he knows I luuuuuurv little umbrellas, so he chose that option just for me and bypassed the coffee mug).
STalk. I've been here 5+ years now. Seen a lot of people come and go (and come back again and again and again), lived through the implementation of the new site, gotten advice (both terrible and excellent), had some laughs, spewed countless mouthfuls of coffee/water across my desk, and made some good friends. Had I not found this place, my marriage would not be as strong as it is today.

I'm thankful for:

Furbabies, Little furbaby is really showing her personality, she's playful, cuddly, fun, a big mischevous and SUPER nosy, but I love her to bits.
New foods, (for everyone else at least) my goal this week has been to try new foods all week. SOmetimes it's just new to everyone else (Pho last night) BUT I really want everyone to branch out. So far, so good. It's been delicious, helathy, AND They're actually trying something different!
My sister, she calls every morning, I love being able to catch up with her on our drives to work
Future potential
Work friends! I've gotten close to like 2 or 3 of them, and it's been nice to actually feel like I have friends and people down here. It's always felt so isolated prior. So I'm glad.
The fact my boss is gone, AND he forgot to leave very much to get done, AND It's a slow call day at work. Things have slowed down enough that I can breathe a bit! Plus he's very much so a hoverer, and it's harder to get things done with him calling every 5 seconds for an update.

I was thinking of my dear, departed Mr. P this morning (okay, I think of him every day!). Fur babies are simply the best. Their personalities, little quirks, the unconditional love...

Oh, The Hoverer. Ugh! Glad you're getting a break from that.

I'm thankful it's our Friday of a very short week.
I'm thankful that despite the crazy summer we had it's quieting down and we are getting less and less noticeable rumblings from the angry earth.
I'm thankful for DH and my kids who keep me grounded.
I'm thankful to this group of people who come on here and are willing to share all the ugly bits and listen to other peoples ugly bits.

that tomorrow is Friday
that today is SD’s last kickball game of the season
for my DH. He is so good to me for so many reasons
for my BD. She brings so much joy to my life.
that BD seems excited about her “new baby brother” thats due in January. She’s even pulled out toys for him and has given my belly hugs. *love*

Thankful

I am thankful for my fur baby ... the precocious border collie who never fails to make me laugh.

I am also thankful for my friends...they (along with margs) make life interesting.

I am also thankful for my DH for the fantastic vacation to Russia last month!

Friday Thankfullness TOO:

for the weather beginning to cool down just a bit
for the time my DH and I get to spend together today and tomorrow, for hunting season but still!
that the SD and SS will be GONE tonight through tomorrow!
that the weekend will go quick and back to routine by Monday.
that we have an excess of pears to eat
and sending good vibes to all the families elsewhere who need it!
