Ms. Perfect needs to review her paperwork!
Never a dull moment with Ms. P. Mic called to make sure ss would be at drop off this afternoon. Now, this arrangement has only been in place for a whole year, so I guess I can see why she would still be so confused about it. Of course, she forgot today was visitation. And, true to form, it couldn't just be that she forgot and that she will correct it. No, this gal can't do anything without an argument, name calling, and her favorite-hanging up. She tried to say that she and ss were already out. Mic responded that it should be even easier, in that case, for her to get him to the drop off point. She said, and get this, "Can't we just do it tomorrow?" When Mic said no (due to the lack of follow-through on verbal agreements in the past few weeks), she called him an asshole. She forgot, and calls him an asshole in front of his kid (whom she came right out and said she was already out with)! Then she hung up on him. She somehow managed to get over herself and get ss to the drop off, and everything was fine. But in the meantime-she's ruining her kid. Everyday she denies the phone visitation, evertime she screams about how much she hates Mic while he's trying to talk to his son, everytime she blatantly calls him names in front of his son...she's going to make him just as sick as she is.
I had a similar conversation with my mother-in-law to be a few weeks ago. She said that God would intervene before that happened. Now, I'm not one to doubt God, or what He can do, but what if He chooses not to? I don't mean to be pessimistic about God's plans or anything, but she already taught the kid to lie to his father. It's only a matter of time before he's calling his father an asshole, and screaming about how much he hates him, having witnessed her doing it so many times. It seems to me that if God is going to preserve this little boy, He needs to intervene pretty soon, as preservation seems more and impossible with every passing day. Something has to give sooner or later.

Thanks!
I liked your idea about calling the night before. The only thing about that is she usually won't let them talk the day before or the day after visitation. I will tell him to try calling while ss is in school. Hah! She might pick up thinking that he's calling to cancel or something. We will definitley try that!
