My stepsons education

After 2.7years in Grade 2, Chucky is finally grasping division and multiplication basics. DH is over the moon. I have to admit my lovelies if I rolled my eyes any harder I would be looking at the back of my skull.

My DD completed Grade 2 a while back so I already know what that curriculum is. I don't expect miracles here. Chucky will never be academically at DD's level but seriously?? We learn the times tables in bloody Grade 1 in my country. Our children have mastered the 1-12 times tables by the end of Grade 2 by rote as well as basic division tables being the reverse of multiplication.

IT HAS BEEN 2.5 YEARS and he has only just grasped it??????

This child passed Grade 1 maths with a damn good mark for a remedial child (90% remedial and 75% main stream) in 2015. What is this woman (Jabba) doing to him that it has taken 2.7 years of "home schooling" plus a private tutor this year to learn the rest of the fundamentals?

He's still being 'Home schooled?'  pffft, shows how bad his schooling has been or is it lack of grey matter or both?

Sad. Home schooling doesn't work for everyone. This is a perfect example. Your DH is over the moon about this. LOL Doesn't he see that his child is behind with his education.
