Mother's Day
So Gpa and SGMa picked SS up at 8:15. Apparently BM got a ride in to town (don't know or care who from) and met them for breakfast. Other than dropping SS off about 30 minutes late, everything went off without a hitch. It was quick and SS was back home in no time.
SS handed me a little handful of small pieces of paper before he left. He said "I made a box that there were supposed to go in, but I am going to give that to my mom if that's ok with you. I made it for you, but I feel bad not giving her anything". Of course I told him that I understood. And he asked me to read the papers. They were "Reasons I love you". My heart smiled bigger than it ever has. They said:
I love how you take care of me when I am sick
I love how you always put me first
I love that you always want the best for me
I love your sense of humor
I appreciate that even when times are hard you put on a brave face
You think you aren't perfect, but you are perfect to me
I love that you work so hard for our family
It was the most adorable thing I have ever seen.
The kids also got me a card, flowers, a bracelet, new shoes and copper tumblers (cause mommy needs her mules in a large cup). We spent the day down by the beach. They spoiled me. And I let them. All in all, it was a good day.

Such a great kid! And you are such a great mom to him, BS.
And quite fittingly, BM got an empty box.

I didn't even think of it that way. You are correct. Quite fitting.
