Oh, I am well aware there are

However, what I find most interesting about all of this is Medusa was the kind of mother who doted on her kids to the point of making them useless babies. Constantly telling everybody who would listen that they were "her world" and that she "loves her baby so much".
Until she could no longer use them as weapons nor rely on them for a paycheck.
Yes, that's right, the mother of the year who always told my husband that the child support he was paying was "pennies" and a "pittance" and now tells everybody who will listen that $1100 a month for three children is just way too much.

SS(24)was here for fathers day and told us about Christmas.
He and his GF spent Xmas with the GFs family in their town. When SS told BM she said she was so angry that she couldn't talk to him and hung up on him.
He told us that all his life he'd heard about how DH was always at BMs house, how he went out of his way to be with her. When SD would go to spend time with her BF, BM would say what a bad BF he was, he didn't deserve SD. IF he really loved her he'd come to her house, spent time with her and her family.
So SS says I don't know what Mom expected me to do. I love GF and I want her to know it, I want to be a good BF and this is what Mom says a good BF does!

I actually get restitution from 3 felons who broke into our home many years ago. It is 10K and being paid back painfully slow. BUT I did just get almost 600 dollars out of the blue. One of them must have had some court case that forced the issue.
