Court Tomorrow With MY Ex.
Now that I've written it, it's just kind of a ramble, so you don't have to read it. I just want to post it, it's therapeutic.
I filed a contempt about a month ago, he stopped paying his CS in June and has never, not once, paid for any of BS's out of pocket medical fees. I had our point of contact (there's a PO) send certified letters with a printout and breakdown of the months fee's, his half printed at the bottom. I never asked for his half of anything routine, I don't consider his Pedi or the one or two ER visits to be something worth bitching about. But BS has a chronic digestive abnormality that costs a fortune. He HAS to see a Doctor in the city, he HAS to eat certain foods(not that I ask for half but it's worth mentioning here), he HAS to have a pile of supplements and medications daily, thankfully though in my state formula is covered by insurance in this case.
So after the first few months I gave up, I stopped paying for the postage and wasting my time working it all out and just considered it a wash. My Ex left us alone and paid his CS, I was fine. I have full legal and physical custody because he can't handle his temper. I obtained it the right way, I never with held visitation because DCF told me not to, they fought the fight for me. I didn't even call them, his live in GF did.
Since he paid his CS on time and it was enough to keep FDH and I from drowning in medical debt I never fought about it. The less I see the man the better. But I figured as I was filing contempt for the CS I might as well file for the out of pocket medical. I just added up what I still have proof for (so just the last 19 months) and it's right around $600, but some of the more expensive stuff (like supplements) I only have proof the doctor ordered it, and the receipts from when I was still sending letters, so, I'm probably going to be eating a lot of the cost and that kind of sucks. The supplements add up to over a thousand dollars, it's not money I missed while paying for it, but looking at the numbers just... wow.

Oh god that's hard, between
Oh god that's hard, between those three things alone you've nixed half the food on the planet. Our only hard food limitation is casein and whey, that will actually make him sick all the time every time. But we changed our eating habits to suit his needs to keep him off some of the meds that are really not great for kids if the altered diet helps instead.
