Found out why SD14 got arrested
What I gathered from DHs angry venting to me last night is that SD14 was caught at the public park around mid-night behind a wall giving filatio to a boy with her top down and her skirt up. When the officer told her he could arrest her but instead he would escort them home and talk to their mothers SD got mouthy. She gave the officer the finger and started to walk home herself cursing along the way and exposed herself. The officer then arrested her and she resisted and continued to be mouthy.
I'm not sure of all the details of the arrest or if she got charged because DH is not in a good mood to talk when I ask him only when he is mad enough to come vent to me. I know he will be in a bad mood for a while. BMs take on this is that she is really upset and she trusted SD and thought she was going to hang out with friends. DH is really pissed at BM and SD and I am just going to keep my pregnant self out of this and enjoy my ice cream.

Stepdevil14 was worse a year ago at age 13. Got caught at 4AM in her mother's yard giving her 13 yr old boyfriend a blowjob, then got busted having sex weeks later during their spring break vacation. She used her dad's phone to send nasty FB messages saying things like "you make me so wet, I just have to suck your dick" to her boyfriend and then forgetting to sign out of Facebook...DISGUSTING
I hope this will be the wake
I hope this will be the wake up call she needs. I've seen teens who've been arrested who really turned their lives around. Getting arrested and going to jail/juvie really scared them straight, and they were able to get long overdue help there.
I hope that is the case for your SD too. And I hope SD gets removed from BMs care. What was your DH like previously as a parent? Was he enforcing rules, or was he sort of a guilty parent? Because maybe she needs some time away from him too. Hopefully the system can introduce her to some programs that will get her intense help.
The problem with so many teens, including your SD, is that they've been given FAR too much power for FAR too long and been given ZERO guidance. And then people, including your DH get pi$$ed at them when they act like this. Not that they shouldn't be upset, but what did he expect when he was doing all this poor parenting? These kids are screaming for help. I'm actually happy your SD got arrested because maybe this is the help she needs. Maybe this will give her the help she needs in terms of now having a routine, having to get in real trouble for disrespecting others and authority figures while in jail/juvie, having to comply with rules, and being introduced to counseling, anger management classes, and other programs that could really help her (and hopefully she'll be ordered to continue to be in counseling and helpful programs once she's out).

This happened to the son of a friend of my father's. The father was at his wits end with his kid's behavior and asked a cop friend of his if he could "arrest" him and scare him straight. The cop friend said he will do one better. Son was arrested and thrown in jail where there were other inmates. The inmates were not really inmates but cops in disguise. The "inmates" began cat-calling him and telling him the various things they were going to *ahem* do to him. Two of the inmates began fighting each other over who gets to be the kid's "Big Daddy". The incident scared him so much, he is apparently a role-model son now.

The world has really change
The world has really change since I was a kids. And even my bio girls that are in the twenty's never would have do that. Kids that age have no business out at 12am hanging with friends. BM lack of parenting or not giving a shit what her daughter does is just criminal. The ball has been dropped with this kids. Not all the blame can be on BM either. Because if SD had a fear of God in her for her Daddy like I did mine she wouldn't have snuck out or even asked to go out. SD needs a serious change of environment.

Gosh, at age 14, I hadn't even been kissed yet. I think I may have held hands for the first time at 14. MAYBE. I can't imagine even thinking about doing these things.
