DH and SD5
Does it bother me to see him kissing her on the lips?
YES!... maybe cuz I come from a family in which we don't lip kiss...
But it bothers me GREATLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does it bother me when he calls her "baby" and calls me "baby" too???
YES it bothers me greatly!!!
How about when he says " i love you baby" and kisses her... and then... the same thing to me... WTF???
I think that pet names and kisses for a wife and a child should be different
Whatever... i'm pissed off...
And I just wanted to let it out...

I agree that pet names
I agree that pet names should be different, and yea the kisses should be damn different. But a dad giving his daughter a peck on the lips is normal.
I love when my daughter wants to kiss daddy.
sadly
i know i wouldn't feel the same if it were my own daughter... but this child was conceived with another woman...
I know there is nothing weird about it... but I HATE IT with a passion...
any advice?

just try to remember if she
just try to remember if she was YOUR daughter kissing daddy or him calling her baby, you wouldn't think twice about it. In fact, you'd probably think it was sweet.

I don't allow my DH to kiss
I don't allow my DH to kiss me on the weekends that SD4 is here...FOr one, she is always germy with a cold and for two, it simply grosses me out! I understand completely how you feel! DH stopped kissing her on her mouth long ago! I told him that he would never kiss me again if continued...He stopped!
we're on the same stinking ship honey
It burns me to no end when I hear DH using the EXACT SAME tone of voice with snowshyte that he uses with me. It's SOOOO GROSS! He calls me honeybunny, he calls her honeybunny. He calls me baby,he calls her baby. I told my dh I don't want him to talk to me like that anymore if he can't be different for her and me. I don't talk to him like I talk to my son...not even in the same ballpark. When DH calls out,"honey" or "sweetie" or "baby" I never even answer anymore bc I don't know who he is talking to, me or snowshyte. He lays in bed with her everynight she is at our house and kisses her right on the mouth.

GRRRR
Isn't it annoying???
Do we have to sugarcoat the fact that if it were our own child we would never had an issue??? NOOO
a stepchild is different...
especially when i think that BM ALSO kisses SD5 on the lips and says "hey baby" in the EXACT same tone that DH says it...
it BOILS my blood...

me too
although, i think it's due largely to my childhood... but skeeves me out just the same.

i come from a huggin' and kissin' kind of family.
So it doesn't bother me. I see what you are saying Gia, that she comes from the BM, just try to keep in mind, it's not the SD5's fault, she didn't pick who she came from. And if she could've picked her mother, I am sure she would've rather had you
There should be a difference for sure!!!!
SS won't kiss DH on the lips anymore because DH said he shouldn't be kissing "boys" on the lips- I told him not to kiss anyone on the lips especially having the disease infested BM that he has! I never know what we can catch! *No... I'm not joking*
I know how you feel. I get
I know how you feel. I get so irked when SS6 gets called the same things as me. I know sometimes it it so hard to ignore that skid is not your child.SS6 face and all his expressions look just like BM! I cant stand it!! So when SS6 throws a tantrum or is snotty it takes that much more will power for me not to flip! It sucks I really dont know why some of us have trouble with our currents having a past.I wish it was easier on us. I think what FutureSM said is a good thing to think of when your mad. This child had no choice of parents and probally would have picked someone better than BM.IMHO I think that one thing really needs to change. DH shouldnt call you and his daughter the same thing.I think once that is resolved perhaps the kisses wont bother you as much.Hang in there....
I agree
BM lip kisses SS(10) and it creeps me out so much!! That added on to the fact that she (I think purposefully) keeps SS's room so full of junk that he can't sleep in his own bed - he sleeps in her bed with HER!
Ugh so creepy *shudder*
*~So sayeth Nymh~*
Whoa! Your BM has SS10
Whoa! Your BM has SS10 sleeping in her bed?? That is crazy.Wow I am speechless

I think I may be alone in
I think I may be alone in this opinion, but I think kids kissing their parents on the lips at all is TOTALLY WEIRD. I guess it is just b/c my parents never did that, and my lips had only been kissed on by significant others until I met SS9. He always kisses me on the lips b/c that's how he kisses his mom. I hate it and I never say anything about it, b/c I just know it's normal for him and don't want to make it awkward. I mean it seriously makes my stomach turn, and I feel like a child molestor. NUTS, right? But I know that it is so normal for so many people, but I just hate it.
