H went to visit his mom Sunday...I stayed home to study and take yet another exam. Many of his family were there, and he told them I'm taking A & P to go to Respiratory Therapy school. They all thought that was a great plan. And one of his sister in laws said she tried to take it, but it was too hard so she quit.

So far (fingers crossed) I've maintained an A, and am a week ahead of schedule. I can almost see the wheels turning in H's head-

His thoughts-"She's really doing this-and doing well at it. I'll be out of the oil fields in a couple of years, because she'll bring in a decent paycheck."

Girls, I am the most driven of students. Because I have a fantasy. I want to control the money...for one month, scream at H for everything he buys (groceries), hold all the extra money myself, and buy myself lovely things while he gets nothing. Just like he is doing to me. I want him to know what it feels like. I want to say no, I'm not paying for one damned thing for SD17.

Then I want to say-get you and yours out of my home. Now.

I am, indeed, the most driven of students.

And then maybe, just maybe, because I can be helping people with my career, I'll quit attracting losers who needed fixed. It's been the story of my life, and I'm so ready to stop doing that...being a fixer, good ole middle child syndrome.
