"its too cold to come out. I want to cancel".

sure, it was -7 here and felt like -24 with windchill, but she had school today (some towns canceled or did a 2 hour delay), but seriously????

not wanting to visit your dad because its too cold.

and they'll let her pull this. not sure whose more pathetic - her or them. all I know, is I hopefully wont have to deal with her today and fiancé leaves on Saturday for a week, so while I will miss him, it means a week of no visits. yay!

Too cold? Really? Priceless!!! Oh yeah, I would love HHB to pull that one on DH! I would have to walk off somewhere where he couldn't hear me and laugh! The stuff these girls come up with!

I say this as I pray that HHB has some excuse to not come again this weekend. I know DH will probably push her, because he hasn't seen her since Christmas Eve. Please...no...just NO! Seriously...DH has called her multiple times today. This kinda scares me! I mean, shouldn't the girl be in school?

Enjoy your kid free time!!! What kills me is that there are plenty of children who cant see their dad, including those who's father is incarcerated. They make an effort to talk to the father. Visitation Stepkids dont seem to see the visitation as a time to spend with their dad, but as an escape from chores or dicipline. OR that they come over because the DH will provide treatment he/she does not deserve.

I dont want to go, so I will make an excuse
I want to go because I am treated like royalty
I dont want to go because my mom is upset
I want to go because my birthday is coming up and presents are coming to me
I dont want to talk to him, but I will go because its easier over there
I dont want to go because I am upset with him, and I will show him how easily I can dismiss him
I want to go so I can demonstrate how much power I have over dad

Shake it off. They are NOT WORTH THE TIME OR ENERGY THINKING ABOUT HOW THINGS ARE GOING TO BE DEALT WITH OR IF ANY CONCEQUENCES ARE GOING TO BE DELIVERED.

Ive had SS16 come up with excuses not to come. BUT most of the time it is just no calls or even notice. When it is time to get picked up, he suddenly remembers his dad's number.

Visitation is not voluntary or discretionary for a kid. That is time that belongs to the NCP. The only message for a kid who wants to forego a visit that the NCP wants to take per the CO is "STFU and get in the car."

End of issue.

that's basically how I feel. but no one wants to force the issue. my fiancé is pretty much done dealing with her and her BS and isn't going to fight it anymore. its just sad.
