Up to something
Last night, DH came up to the gym to get a work out in. When we get home, we can see that the TV is on in the TV room, but by the time we get in the house, SheSloth is gone to her room and the TV is turned off. Seriously, she had to have run to her room!!! DH noticed and called her out. He asked her why she ran to her room the moment we got home. She tried to give some lame reasoning..."I was on my laptop and it was really loud, so I took it to my room." Oh, you mean you were Skyping on your laptop, which you have been forbidden to do, and didn't want to get caught...so you ran to your room with it to shut it down!
I'm still thinking there is something totally up with this "boyfriend" of hers. I mean, it has been several weeks, and she hasn't rushed to introduce him to either me or DH. With the ex, she couldn't wait to introduce him because she wanted to spend time with him. She was always bugging if he could come over, come to church with us, etc. She was all over him all the time, there were 20 billion photos posted all over social media of her and the guy. But not this time around. Nope...the guy is supposed to be in band, and he NEVER even walks SheSloth to the car when DH goes to pick her up after a game or band competition? I believe there is a Robbie...but I'm thinking he is more a boy that is a friend, and not a boyfriend...if you catch my drift. Emo friend hasn't been around at all in weeks since the posts on her social media about SheSloth breaking her heart. Could it be that she is talking to people over Skype and on the phone, and is trying to cover it up with this fake boyfriend? One seriously has to wonder! I mean, she is so far from her usual M.O.
Her attitude has also been worse than usual. We have found in the past, when she is hiding something, she tends to get worse. I don't know if she is trying to make sure that the parental units don't probe too much into what she is up to, so she maintains a very stand-off attitude or what. Something is really hinky, and she isn't leaving many clues.

These days...who knows. Friend of a friend of a friend? But it seems that she may be "dating" someone that is unapproved of. That would be the only reason is isn't in a rush for DH to meet him/her.

You can hide the drugs you're doing, you can dress a little more low key around parents, but one thing you can't hide is your age! If he is older, that may be EXACTLY why no one has seen him!

I bet you anything he is a older guy. I am 28 now, but I was trying crap like that when I was a teen. I was 16 "dating" this 23 or 24 year old, and I told him I was 18. He finally figured it out when I couldn't get into a rated R movie. Busted. I met a lot older guys through the internet as a teen. It's nothing I am proud of but it is SO easy to do. Looking back I did a bunch of really dangerous things by meeting these older guys off the internet. I mean, I could have been on that show "to catch a predator." I really wonder what the hell I was thinking. But from what I have read of what you post about SheSloth ....I really think Sally hit the nail on the head.

Oh, I'm pretty sure Sally hit it, too! There is a Robbie in the band, because other girls in guard have talked about him, but I'm thinking he is more of just a good friend or something. I mean, a boyfriend would walk her to the car after games and such. If he were afraid of coming to the car and meeting her parents, you would still see them together at some point before she headed to the car...a goodbye hug or kiss. Nope, never see any of that with a guy when picking her up. When DH asked about his social media (as DH does actually do some checking up on a guy she says she is dating), SheSloth told him, "Oh, he really isn't into social media!" BS19 isn't really into social media either, but he still has Facebook and Instagram to keep up with friends! Even before he graduated...friends who moved away, old friends from previous schools he went to, guys he met at football camps that he hit it off with, etc.
There is also the sudden wanting to go to BMs on the weekends...even if it means she has to be driven over there at midnight on a Friday or Saturday night after a game or band competition! For months she hasn't wanted anything to do with BM, and suddenly she wants to be over there all the time? We already know how easy it is for her to sneak out of BM's house...she doesn't really have to sneak out at all! I mean, she can walk out the front door and no one notices (that happened a few years ago...and no one knew until SheSloth came back with a big hole in her elbow after falling off of her bike...at 11 at night).
DH has tried until he is blue in the face to explain to SheSloth the dangers of the internet. I don't think these girls believe any of it, or they don't think it will happen to them. What do we adults know? We didn't have internet when we were their age...well, not the same kind of internet (bulletin boards that you could access via dial-up started to be a thing when I was in high school). Um, hello...we are adults...adults with kids! We tend to keep up on what is going on in the world that is dangerous to our children! Too many news reports out there about online predators. When police departments are devoting entire divisions to the issue...having officers pose as innocent teens to catch these bastards...yeah, it's a reality!

Well as a fellow marching band kid myself 10 years ago, the color guard girls LOOOOOOOOOVE the drumline guys. I've also been in the blue devils drum and bugle corps when I was a teen too. It's like some strange attraction with the color guard and drumline guys.
I can picture your DH now ....yea the internet is full of trouble for young girls and boys. SS12 aka Cesspool came over last night for the weekend and he has a new cellphone after I just posted last night about him having it stolen. We snooped in it and found some really disturbing text messages. DH doesn't even know what to do. I'm going to post about it later this evening ...I think Cesspool is passed out on the couch right now, go figure.
SheSloth is on birthcontrol right? I can't believe Cesspool at age 12 needs the sex talk after seeing his phone.......oh my gawwwwwwwwwwwdddddddddd. SO NASTY!!

BC? Yeah right! Dear princess it too pure to be having sex, so there is no need (DH's idea of the situation, NOT mine). I'm pretty sure she has already had sex, and I wouldn't be surprised if she has experimented with the same sex. There was this "friend" that was spending all the time at our house until several weeks ago...even spent the night. But then that suddenly stopped, right about the time there were posts on the girl's Facebook page about SheSloth breaking her heart! Also on her Facebook, this girl admits to being a lesbian.
Of course, that could be the other scenario...that it isn't a boy at all, but a girl, and SheSloth knows DH will go through the roof (he is very anti-LGBT).

I think Sally is on to something. My bride had SS when she was 16. The Sperm Idiot was 22. One thing I will never forgive my ILs for is not nailing that rat bastard for statutory rape and keeping him away from any children for the rest of his life and on the sexual predators list. My ILs succumbed to my brides pleads to not put the Sperm Idiot in prison for statutory rape, child molestation, etc…..
DW enlisted the help of a couple different band geek guys who had a crush on her to be stand in BFs as a show for MIL and FIL while she was dating the DipShitIot pervert. Not that she looked 15 when they started dating. DW had a rack and an amazing bod when she was 12. Regardless of how old DW looked at the time DickHead knew how old she was and pursued her anyway.
In hindsight MIL and FIL would put the Sperm Idiot in general population to pick up soap in the shower for the lifers in a split second if they could do it all over again.
That would have saved several more 16yo girls from being molested by the Sperm Idiot who went on to breed three more out of wedlock spawn out of 2 more baby mamas. One of the subsequent womb donors were also under age.
Not that I did not have a few close calls with underage girls when I was in my mid to late 20s. I met several teenage girls in bars on 6th street at that time. I finally started carding the questionable ones because I ended up waking up next to a 17yo upon occasion after picking a girl up in a bar during and after my divorce from my adulterous whore of an XW. I ended up taking a pic of both of those young ladies fake IDs when I gained enlightenment on their ages to avoid prison should I get a knock on my door from an irate father of a heartbroken teen after the relationship would end after a few dates and my discovery of their actual ages.
Time to pull out the uncomfortable wooden chair, hot and bright lamp, park SheSloth in an otherwise dark room under the focus of the hot interrogation lamp and uncomfortable ass on the hard wooden seat and get the facts out of her about Robbie. Not only to protect SD from him but to protect him from SD in the event he has no clue how old she is. Hey. It can happen.
