Delusional

We were driving home this weekend from church. HHB's current school is just off the main highway we usually travel. I'm looking out the window, and see the stadium lights, and the words just come flowing out of my mouth, "So, you think HHB will pass her courses this semester?" Supposedly, DH talked to HHB just the day before...he called her because he hadn't heard from her in like 3 weeks. He said that she SHOULD pass everything, and that she is going to be on color guard next school year. Hmmm...I suspected she was trying to get back into color guard. I'm guessing that she didn't make AP Theater, because she has to know that there is no way she can do both, as color guard is all year and takes up a lot of her time between marching and winter guard. And recent social media posts about drama with her old captain? Yeah...as I've mentioned before...the two guards know each other! I can see the drama brewing again already!

Why do I title this post "Delusional"? Because DH is delusional if he really thinks that HHB is doing her work to pass her course this semester. If she does pass, it is going to be because she cried to someone again...told them a bunch of crap about how difficult her life is...how could you possibly fail someone who has so much crap going on! She can't just do her work and pass on her own! WAKE UP!

One thing I know for sure, I really hope DH enjoys going to football games by himself on Friday nights to watch HHB! Next year is BS20's first year on the college field, and I plan on going to as many games as I can. If that means I have to leave Friday night if the game is earlier in the day, I will. If I have to leave DH at home? I will!

I'm not going to consider going to HHB's games at all! She can't even give DH half a mind, why should I spend my time to watch her twirl her flags? If DH wants to beg and grovel for HHB's attention, that's on him!

Yup...so many need to take off those rose-colored glasses and see their kids for what they really are!
