sk activities what is appropriate
Forums:
I need some help.
For starters we live over 30 minutes from sk.
What activities are required for us to take sk to during visitation time?
And what do you do when it is every weekend interference. And it 2-3 hrs not including drive time. And everything from going to the Y to church to tutoring.
Unless its court ordered you
Unless its court ordered you don't have to take them to any of them. SO, it all comes down to what you and your DH want to do. Just try to keep in mind what the children want as well.
I'm on the opposiste side of that coin. My ex refuses to let our children do anything that is on HIS time. I even had to go to court in September with an emergancy order to allow our daughter to play at state level softball game. REmember common sense, compromise and the children.

As my SD got older, my DH
As my SD got older, my DH gave up more and more of his scheduled time with her so she could do her scheduled activities. Once she turned 14 or 15, he felt it was more important for her to do the things she had planned...mostly soccer or softball. Since she lived 45 minutes away, and didn't like to drive, he simply let her stay with her mom on those weekends. When she didn't have plans, he brought her to his place.
DH gave up his entire
DH gave up his entire extended summer stay. And then it became almost every weekend. he was with us for about 3weekends the entire summer!
And its ever weekend and every week night visit that there is activities.
BM is furious because DH says things like I'll get you after you activity. And she's now saying you are required to get him to his activities. And if you won't you don't get visitation.
We are talking gym time and Y work outs right now.
