So me and DH talk about "once the kids move out" what we will do with their rooms, one will be storage, one will be office, and one will be a craft room.
SOOO, DH told SD "hey, since you will probably not be coming around as often, once your're 18 we will turn your room into the office"
OMG her joke was hilarious, she said, "Oh, I'll be getting a car soon, so I'll be coming around a lot more often!"
OMG, DH would literally drop EVERYTHING he is doing to come pick her up, but she's always got other plans!!!!! isn't this hilarious?!!! I think so, for sure! What teen with a car, who is too busy for daddy to come pick her up for even a quick dinner, is going to have time to actually come over MORE often?

Huh? What do you mean? I'm genuinely confused. DH would love her to be able to come over, but he excuse has nothing to do with doing things on her own... I'm the last 8 months she's been here 5 times (MAYBE, I'm being very generous in giving her that). So when she actually has a car, she's going to be coming over more? What's stopping her now? DH would jump at any chance to go pick her up... but she is "too busy" "she has to watch her brother" "someone invited her over to watch a movie" DH allows her to use these bull $#!t excuses. Too busy? Doing what? "Being busy", literally that's her answer... watching her brother? BM can hire a babysitter. A movie? Can't you watch the movie and then daddy pick you up? Nope, none of it makes sense...
If you're talking about DH talking about the room, it's what people do when their kids move out, my mom turned my room into her gym, my brother's room into a media room, and my sister's room is the guest room...
If you're talking about my statement of her not going far in life, she's not. She's got the intelligence of a box of bricks, her maturity level as an almost 17yo is the same as my 10yo nephew, her willingness to do hard work is 0, she's so lazy that she even refuses to sit anywhere, she literally LAYS everywhere. We're all trying to sit on the couch to watch a movie, she will try to lay on the couch (even when there isn't any room for it with 5 adult sized people sitting on a couch and love seat). She's a mean, manipulative, thieving liar who quite literally has no talents. She read outloud competitively once. Who knew they had competitions for that? Lol
