Ok my cousin when a kid was this god Awful spoiled brat. Now 30 years old she turned out to be a nice helpful kind person. I was to young to remember when The transformation took place but it did sometime during the teen years. I also had a friend who's brother was the same way BUT he never changed. He's currently 37 living with his parents and in and out of jail.

So my question is "Typically" if a spoiled rotten brat is going change/ grow up like my cousin what age during the teens does it Usually happen?

Of sourse, my grandsons are perfect angels. Cough cough.  Two years ago, SGS now 29 was living in his dad's house, working a seasonal part-time job and gaming the rest of the time.  He's a good kid but I thought, what is his problem?  Flash forward, he is management at a nationwide company, earning $50k+, lives with some friends, bought a car and will soon go out of town to participate in traning at a new site.  GS now 26 was, last year, living in my DD's basement, no job.  He was finishing up an online IT degree but I kept hearing about procrastination.   His life up to that point hadn't been very inspiring, living with some friends, drinking, pot, etc.  Flash forward, he got an IT job paying about $60K in  another city and just bought a house.  Nobody could be more stunned than I am.

It seems like boys, especially, take awhile to mature nowadays.

For the basic PITA kid, I would say anywhere from 16-25. For the truly POS kid... never.  An assertive parent can accelerate the process... and should.

IMHO.

I don't think there is a "typically", everyone unfolds at their own pace. And some never change.
