17 degrees above and SD16 dresses like a slutty skank

Not even kidding a freaking mini skirt, belly shirt and denim vest.

Her excuse " I have long legs so everything looks short.....ummmmm no. Short is short and this girl had to walk holding the back of her skirt down so her ass wouldn't show.

I was mortified and embarrassed. I pulled FDH aside and said "That is f'n ridiculous and I'm not going to the hospital with her looking like that." He claimed to already bitch at her about it but didn't make her do anything about it.

My bio was like "Why are you wearing a skirt and it's so cold out" LOL SD16 "Because it's actually spring so I'm dressing for the season"

FDH told her to pull her skirt down and zip up her jacket.

She looked so stupid, BM is a fn idiot for letting her kid go to school like that.

Oh yea, and she had to wear sweatpants over her skirt all day at school because her clothing was so inappropriate :jawdrop:

Dumbass- her parents have NO control

geeze goingcrazy, why do you hate your FDH's kid? Why are you always picking on her? She's just dressing for the season! Just kidding! }:)

:jawdrop: :jawdrop: :jawdrop: not a chance any child of mine would leave the house looking like that. As for a skid well, not your monkey not your circus but I wouldn't be going anywhere with her!

This kid would not be in my car or anywhere near me. I would hate for someone to think I was okay with this...

The school should keep about a dozen of those orange jump suits like they wear in prison for the street walker looking girls that probably show up every day. Then make a parent show up and pay for the laundry service before the kid can take it off and go home.

My 15 yr old SD dresses skanky. And the make up! :jawdrop: :? She claims it is fashionable..."all my friends dress and look like this.."

I have decided that that is one batlle I choose not to fight. I do not care what any stranger on the street thinks of me so I have no problem being seen with a crazily clad teenager. And anybody that knows us, realize that we are allowing our children to try and find their own style. (Tongue in cheek)

There are way more and bigger things for me to fight with our teenagers about about. If she dresses too cold for the weather, then she will be cold... I will huddle comfortably in my wintercoat thanks. Wink if they stink I will not sit near them, if they look crazy, I ignore it. It is a phase, they will grow out of it. I hope. And if not...well..not my problem. We draw the line at piercings and tattoos, but for the rest?.. whatever Wink

I have a ss-so never had the skanky problem, however, what I had was a kid who was dirty, mismatched, wearing ill fitting clothes, or liked to wear the same clothes for 4 or 5 days on end. I initially tried saying something to dh, then gently making suggestions to the kid, to finally I just started refusing to be seen in public with him until he showered and dressed appropriately. When faced with the idea of sitting at home all the time staring at 4 walls vs getting out and doing fun things, he took care of things pretty quickly.

My SD15 has her belly button pierced. The sad thing is, BM took her to get it. When DH found out (via a pic posted on intagram and my BD13 saw it), he was super pissed. BM response was "I think I'll get a matching one too". SMH

When we go to the beach or pool, I make her wear a bandaid over it.

My YSD is in her late 20's and still dresses 'seductively'.

Used to drive me nuts when it started with her (around 14 years old) but at this point I realize it just isn't one of the those things I get worked up over any more. Her choice. Fortunately there are many other things about her that are great, so if she dresses for attention, oh well Smile I concentrate instead on what I like about her

I know there's nothing I can do about obviously her parents don't care enough to do something about it BUT what bothers me is my BD10 wants SD16's attention (bc she's literally shunned by her and she feels it) and it makes me SICK to think my bio looks up to that skanky trashy girl  .

It just floors me her parents let her do it :jawdrop:

im sorry but i dont buy the lines "that's what all the kids are wearing today!" or "that's the latest fashions!"

a child can still dress fashionably while simultaneously being appropriate.
