Way OT- automated pet food feeder timer

zerostepdrama's picture

Has anyone ever used one of those feeders that are on a schedule?

We are going on vacation in a few months and I wanted to try one. I do have someone coming over to check on and feed the cats, but I thought the timer would be helpful for the morning feedings.

2 of my cats are CRAZY! They are over weight. They have only become crazier now that they are on a diet. I dont want to spend a ton of money, only for the cats to tear up the feeder, waiting to be fed. LOL.

They manage some nights to break into the food container even though it has a lock lid.

So if anyone has used one or has any feedback I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Oh yes I have one now. I put the dry kibble in for the cats on the weekend for the entire week. I have the extender tube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijTivKTDob4

I think you can still buy it. I also USED to have an automatic litter box (CatGenie) but if it misfired, it smelled really bad and Chef did nothing but bitch and moan.

I also have an automated vacuum cleaner robot (Neato) which helps keep down the dust (I have two fully fired woodstoves). Chef bitches about that too because he doesn't see a logical pattern in it's movement. Um I don't see a logical pattern in CHEF'S movement either.

The feeder has come in handy when going off to Florida, Wisconsin and in March, NOLA.
