FB etiquette for friends here.....
I was on another board a long time ago and became FB friends with a lot of the women there. I would tag them on stuff or post funny things, etc. Most of us were all friends on FB and on the board, so it wasn't like if I tagged all of the friends, someone would be like Oh she isnt on my friends list or Who is that? (If that makes sense).
So I have some very lovely friends on FB from here. But sometimes I get "confused" on what I can or can not post. Or what I can or can not say.
Obviously I wouldn't post anything incriminating or step related.
But sometimes I see uplifting/funny posts, sayings, etc and I want to tag you ladies but then I dont want to give away who I am friends with. I noticed some have their friends list on lockdown. (I always check for mutual friends when adding on FB).
So what is the etiquette?

For me personally, I prefer PM's. My DH doesn't know about this site, I'd like it to stay that way. I think my friends list is on lockdown too. I might have done that a long time ago when I first joined FB.
I love your "signature" btw.

Yeah I was just asking in
Yeah I was just asking in general. Sometimes I come across funny memes that wouldnt give away the board but if I tagged everyone who I wanted to tag in it, I might give away people on FB who might not want to.
I always err on the side of caution. I appreciate my FB friends from here and sharing their lives with me and being interested in my life as well, so I wouldnt want to ruin that.
I have been on FB WAY TOO MUCH. But mostly because I am on a page for the strike that is going on. Allows me to stay "informed" but it can be such a "gossip" page and I spend too much time on it.
I may need a FB break again soon. It's taking over my life.... LOL
Yeah my real life doesnt
Yeah my real life doesnt involve the skids, so my FB life isnt going to either. LOL.

I don't think I have ever
I don't think I have ever posted anything step related anywhere besides here. It would be weird to get a whole bunch of SM posts because I do not identify as one in real life. My close friends are aware I married a man who has kids of course and my family WISHES I gave a shit about the skids but my life outside of this site is kid free. lol. That said, I wouldn't be offended at being tagged in something, it just might raise a few eyebrows to my acquaintances who have no idea I'm a "step" something.
It wouldnt be SM posts. Just
It wouldnt be SM posts. Just want to clarify that.
I guess more then anything its tagging people- here together on something, not sure if everyone else everyone else to know who they are friends with on FB from here.
Oh, ok. I get it now. I
Oh, ok. I get it now.
I have friends on fb who are like that....not wanting to be tagged in any way that associates them with whoever or whatever they are in the closet about (mostly my atheist and gay friends since I live in the south) so I understand that. I can also understand feeling uncomfortable if your SO starts asking who all these people are and how you know them, etc. For people who have small circles of friends, it could get ugly for them if anyone starts figuring out things that could link them to things they don't want to be linked to.
Typing all of that made my head spin. I don't like that kind of complication in my life. DH has seen some new STalk friends pop up on my fb friends list but he has no clue who they are. If he asks, I just say "oh, she's in a group I'm in". He never wants to join the fb groups I'm in so that shuts him up pretty quickly, lol.
