Staying to prove everyone wrong
I was in a therapy session the other day,yes,the situation was so traumatic i need therapy to recover. lol
While at therapy i realized the last couple years of the marriage was all about my need to prove to everyone we could make it.So BM didn't win. So exSD didn't win. So exMIL didn't win.

We call it gaslighting
Just a short list of the crap exH used to feed me about our situation. In situations of affairs they call this sort of thing gaslighting.Turning the situation to make it someone else's fault,basically creating a gasfire and make the distraction to keep the focus off the REAL problem...care to add yours? 
you just need to give her time to adjust
well maybe if you were more approachable she could bond with you

Recovering Stepmother/Doormat
After 7 1/2 years I finally did it.I left him.Left his kid.Left his exwife.Left his meddling mother.Left them all behind in the dust to wallow in their own drama and stress sans the doormat upon which to lay blame.
