OT - TV's and Texans!

OT-

The Houston Texans are in the payoffs this weekend!! YAY!!!!! My DH has decided that our little 41in tv is just not good enough to watch the game. He wants a 50-60inch TV!

I am not so sure about this! I don’t know much about the bigger TV’s or the difference between plasma and HD or brands. Can anyone recommend anything here?

I like watching the games at home. lol. He wants to go buy one.

In that case, Fry's usually has good prices...that's my favorite place to get anything that has to do with electronics.

I will say though that we have a 60in HD DLP...if you use game systems, you will need to get the HDMI cable, otherwise, the games look FUNKY...the Wii looks funky on this TV either way. Ours is a Mitsubishi & I was told that all of the HD DLP TV's are like this as far as game systems go & that the Wii just wasn't made for HD.

The only reason we have one is because my SO managed to get it in a package with our living room furniture from Gallery...they added an upcharge for us going from 52 to 60 inches.

Thanks! I will. I am seriously considering getting a new washer since he is getting a TV. I HATE my front load and want to go back to a top load..
