MIL walking into my room ( YOU DON'T JUST WALK INTO SOMEONE'S ROOOM)!

Seems like MIL's are striking a nerve this morning across the board. Yesterday MIL called no one answered the phone because we were having lunch to celebrate Stepgrandson's heavenly blessing day. I was feeling like crap so I went to nap. Mind you I nap in my T-shirt and a thong. I leave the door cracked just in-case anyone calls for me. Everyone knows you don't walk in my room door cracked or not without knocking.

I feel a nudge and its MIL taping me. I wanted to curse her out but it was a blessed day so I swallowed the fire. DH went to the store so SD16 was the one to let her in. She asked me if she could take DD,SD16 and stepgrand to get ice cream. I asked her to step out and let me get dressed. DH walked in before I lost it. I told him to tell his mother about popping up at my house uninvited and walking into my room. He talked to her in a nice way and got DD ready.

Some of you might not see the big deal. I feel like if you call and don't get an answer you don't just pop up at someone's house. This isn't the first time. I was raised that you never just walk into someone's room even if the door is wide open. I would never walk into MIL's room without knocking and even then I would stand in the door way unless invited in. I wouldn't even just walk into my own mother's room without telling or asking her first. That's just something you don't do. It ticks me off!

She did call but we where in the middle of eating lunch so no one answered or thought to call back after. If you call and no one answers you assume they are busy or not home you don't just pop up anyways and you do not walk into their bedroom.

That was very rude and pushy of her! I would not like that at all either. Adult bedrooms are private.
