Loosely disengaged...and this kid has got to be an idiot

thelaststraw's picture

I swear he's either a sociopath, an idiot or he's evil.

After going into my dresser last week to take something out of it and after all the lying, and talking back and just being an outright dick...he expected me to be a chaperon on his class trip to the state capital tomorrow. I did it for his older sister last year, but they are as different as night and day.

He's not academically stupid...so does that make him a sociopath?

I think it makes him selfish, self-absorbed and slightly delusional about how reality works when it comes to relationships, but I do not think it makes him a sociopath.

Naw, aren't sociopaths usually pretty bright? He is probably book smart, but has no friggen common sense, that would be my guess and my hope that you are not living with a future Jeffrey Dahmer.

And as far as disengaging goes - I screwed up over the weekend.

SD came out of her room asking who took candy off her dresser. SASS (Stupid Ass StepSon) said "I didn't do it this time!"

Despite being disengaged, I said "That's a telling remark." In about the most challenging tone he could muster SASS said to me "Oh yeah, how's that a telling remark?"

If SD wasn't in my way, he would have been picking himself up off the floor.

Well, my SD16 isn't stupid, just lazy. Not sure she's a sociopath. Just spoiled and a brat.
