What is the big old deal about the drop off anyway.
There is always so much drama at these events. You would think that the parents would try to keep up appearances for the kids, but it just seems to be an absolute circus show in so many cases.
I tend to avoid the drop off / pick up for that exact reason, but there are times we are doing family things and it's unavoidable.
I will never understand how people can be so petty right in front of the kids. It is really just ridiculous.
Growl.

I Think it is a Control Issue for BM
I don't understand it either but it seems most of the time it is the BM who doesn't want to see SM's in the car with thier child. I personally think we as SM's have every right to be in that car. I am with you I rather not be around. A lot of times also DH may not want to meet this biatch alone for fear she will accuse him of something he didn't do so he took me along just so there will be a 3rd party and witness to anything that may happen. BM in our case lives around the world and the one time we had to do a drop off we made sure it was in a public place and not our home. We also made sure there was a camera rolling in case BM starts her crap. We don't trust this woman. It is a shame we all have to go through this length. But like Nymph the BM we deal with is a Fruit Loop who tries to use the legal system to get BF falsely accused of anything.
I am always at a loss
as to why people even reply when shit gets started. Ignore them? walk away? Talk to the child? There are so many options to engaging in an argument in public. I have never understood that one.
My FH has been pretty successful at stopping that stuff by insisting that all communication is via email. Thankfully he doesn't get 50 emails a day, but it helps to have everything in black and white. He also uses separate emails for separate topics so the email chain doesn't get convoluted. They are written as though a judge will be reading them. It really helps keep things in perspective.
good luck
It is ridiculous.
We pick the girls up from daycare on our days but then she picks them up on hers. It sucks. Lately she's been sitting in her car and honking, works out great. The less I see her the better.
