Just a UPDATE. I had major back surgery and I am starting to feel so much better. My New StepD Youngest one (I hate the word step and only use it here) She arrived Friday, Dinner time, she lives about 4 hours west of us in another State. She offered and came to help take care of me. She even brought Dinner along with her for the three of us. (Chinese)
That was such a surprise. since FH was going to order out for us , when she arrived. I have to stay FLAT on my back with this brace on. NO reaching, bending, lifting more then a half gallon of milk,or 5 lbs or less..no twisting NOTHINg I am helpless like a baby.. etc. Which is vey difficult to do, when you are use to doing it all your life for yourself and everyone else... LOL.
Well, she is the sweetest & so very kind. She took care of me and got the house in order ( little things ) That I cannot do. I will be post op, for at least another 2 weeks. And then I must wear the brace for another 10 weeks, maybe longer,We don't know yet. Depends on each patient. But the Good news is the Nurses coming in each day & PT said, I am recovering great. And doing very well.Pain is down from 15 LOl to about 8 now.
Anyway,my new adultSD, waited on me hand & foot. She kept the water pitcher filled bed side. And straightened up my night stand etc. She even did laundry for us. Serving me meals and making me tea and just being an angel.. Cooked a great Stuffed Pork loin dinner Saturday, with all the side dishes, dessert etc. Sunday,FH ordered us dinner from OutBack steakhouse..was wonderful he even put a candle & a flower on my bed tray LOL.
I thought she was just coming for the weekend, but she had some personal & sick days available for her to use, so she is staying with me while FH works this week, he works 12 hr days 3 x week and 8 hr days, the other 2 days a week, teaching college. The Other adult Skids and mine have sent flowers, notes & phone calls..Bless them all.
Anyway, Friday night, we all had chinese food, laying in the master bedroom. Me in bed, flat on my back, with a bed tray and FH & SD eating on TV trays. She also ran to the store Saturday and did some shopping for us.
FH has been a sweetheart, he brought me the most beautiful iris's purple my favorite. And also massages my legs with lotion. And tried to brush my hair ( atleast on top and sides ) LOL And they both are so wonderful..making sure I had everything & anything I needed.
He is just to good to be true. And so is she...smiles..
Sometimes I lay here(can't do anything else) and wonder what I did in life...to deserve such a wonderful Partner,& family.. it makes me very very emotional, after being a lone so long as a widow..that someone truly loves me like he does. I am So Blessed. And so far the skids are being so kind and caring towards me..since I just met them Christmas time 2009.
Anyway I would like to THANK all of you that emailed or blogged for your wishes & prayers..They really helped me get through tons of pain. And also for all the great blogs to keep me busy when I'm NOT sleeping or watching TV or a movie...,smiles to you all !!
