So I'm new here and after browsing some forums found this excerpt from an article: "It’s just that simple: children need added direction, structure and support when depressed. One of the most important things parents need to know is that during those periods of sadness, your child still needs to take responsibility for solving problems; that does not stop."...and now possibly see that my almost 13yr old SD may very well be "depressed". That being said...the BM does not do these things to begin with-let alone instill more because of depression!!
