SD5's first day of kindergarten and she's wearing makeup!!!!!!!!!!
BM drove SD5 to school for her first day of kindergarten, which is today. My fiance has been talking to her for weeks and telling her that he wants to be involved with the first day stuff. BM tried pushing him away by saying that she was going to take care of everything, but he finally said that he will just meet them at school so he could give her a hug before she went in.
He just called me to tell me how it went. It sounds like SD is very excited! We are so happy for her! But then he added that she's wearing makeup...I was like, "WHAT?" Ugh. I asked him to be more specific about what she was wearing, thinking that a little mascara is not appropriate but atleast it could be admissable, and he said it looked like mascara and some eyeliner, she was also wearing a pink lipstick and blush. I asked if she had beauty pageant hair as well, and DF said no, that it looked like a rat's nest as usual. (BM has poker straight hair, and SD has curly hair. BM usually just leaves it a wreck without even making her brush it after bathing.) So why would BM bother putting makeup on her but not even fix her hair?
*Sigh*
I will never understand her logic.

I checked the policy and it
I checked the policy and it doesn't have anything in there about makeup. Just dress code and hair...
No kidding! What school
No kidding! What school administrator would think they need to tell a PARENT that mascara, etc., is not appropriate on a kindergartener?
Eek. 5 years old? What a
Eek. :O 5 years old? What a nutcase.
And it only gets better and
And it only gets better and better (or maybe worse and worse) as they get older. I have had to take SD home to change because of some of the things BM let her wear to school (high heels in the 3rd grade...hello!), low cut shirts, etc... At this point, all my kids are in a school that has a uniform, but I dread next year when my girls start high school and no uniform! I have a feeling that DH will have to be on appropriate clothing duty every morning!!!
Yes! BM has sent SD5 to
Yes! BM has sent SD5 to daycare in the past wearing high heels. She has a pair of white pumps and a pair of what I call "stripper boots". I told her that she is not to wear those to our house again and day care told her they are not appropriate shoes for playing, and to send her in athletic shoes. I'm guessing BM will try sending her to school in the heels one of these days. I don't even know where you find heels for kids that little!!
HA!! I saw a Facebook picture
HA!! I saw a Facebook picture that BM posted of her daughter as well...she's wearing the stripper boots, and a black leotard. BM wrote under the caption something like, "Like mother like daughter!"
I really have no idea what she meant by it because I WANT to believe she means good...however it sounds like "Hooray my daughter is going to be a tramp like me!"
And with the white heels I actually did "let" her play outside with them and wear them to the park this spring. They were caked with mud so I sent them back to BM's house in a plastic bag...this was at SD's suggestion, or I would have just chucked them. SD's comment was "Why would mommy make me wear those if she knows I'm going to play outside? I'll see if Mommy can clean them for me." Haven't seen them since!
Uhg...I am not looking
Uhg...I am not looking forward to that. That sounds just like SD5 and her BM. She was already crying this last weekend because the top that Daddy just gave her for her birthday wasn't pretty enough for her. It didn't have ruffles. She didn't like more than half of the stuff she got. Her mother has sent her here with make up in the past but we haven't seen any for awhile. Maybe because it never makes it back home with her...
