My SD is turning into a brat ...:(

She has always been spoiled, but now she is outwardly just acting like know it all brat. She just came home from her Moms today and I literally cringed when she walked in the door because her first sentence was "Eww I don't like that and I don't like those" Referring to my new curtains and pillow cases. REALLY SD because I DON'T LIKE that you are even here right now. She comes from her Moms with this nasty attitude. But really just in general she has this attitude almost all of the time. She literally thinks she is an adult and it annoys the crap out of me. She talks to me like she can boss me around and like she knows it all..I mean all. Every damn thing she knows how to do better or I'm wrong, she is right. This kid is 8 and a half. How the HELL am I going to deal with her at 13 or 14?? I've been with her Dad since she was 2.....almost 6 1/2 years. No way in hell will I leave him simply because of this child. I dream of the day she grows up and gets out. I can't take feeling like there is another (little) woman in my house all the time. My feelings towards her disgust me but I cant help it. I long for a life with just my hubby and I. I feel selfish but it's the truth.

Some of the lines I've used on my own kids when they decide they need to voice an opinion....

"Good thing I don't care what you like"

"Well when you have a job and buy your own you can buy what you like"

"If you don't have anything nice to say, please keep your opinions to yourself"

"Lucky for me, I'm the adult and can choose to spend my money the way I want"

OMFG!!! I'm in the EXACT same situation! My SD is 8 and becoming more and more like her bitch mother. Every I cook is "disgusting" and she's got an "opinion" on everything! She's got a real attitude and feeling of entitlement, and what's worse is that her mother is feeding it. I usually just tune her out. Lucky for me, my bf doesn't get caught up in it - if he sees her being disrespectful/disobedient, he will point it out and take away whatever "rewards/treats" he had promised her (and her brother). And with them being the way they are (rude, disrespectful, oppositional, etc), this saves us TONS of money LOL But yes, these CHILDREN (that's what they are) will have a very hard time in the real world when they are older - there are people out there who won't take that kind of shit and who will put them in their place! And we will be there to say "I told you so!"...Can't wait Blum 3
