We got it. We got it. We got ALL of it. Our income tax refund was deposited in the account today! I blogged earlier about how BM claimed the skids although DH is CP and they do in fact live with us two-thirds of the time. I knew she had done it when the reason for the e-file rejection came up "SSN of Qualifying Child cannot be used on more than one return" or some such.

Just under a month ago, I rubbed my hands together and giggled with Rags-like glee after depositing our paper return in the mail slot and thought, "Alright Bimboron, it's ON!"

I anticipated a least two months of delay with a mailed notice from the IRS asking us to prove we were the children's caretakers which I can do no problem. But nothing came. The only thing I can think of is, we claimed them last year and perhaps they only contacted BM who failed to prove they were not our rightful dependents. Perhaps, they goofed or they'll be sending such notices in the future. Either way, DH and I don't have to wait for funds. Spec-freakin'-tacular!

I did a little figurin' the other day as I know her hourly wage and in my estimate BM is going to owe the IRS somewhere in the ballpark of $4,000 to $8,000 for this little stunt. Oh well, she got the kids new Nike's and SD12 a fancy new cellphone. What a mom!

Oh, I accidently let slip to the skids that mom might be busy with a second job this summer. She called DH fussing about me running my mouth. He let her go off and then calmly said, "Maybe she was referring to the taxes you're going to owe for claiming the kids." She just hung up. LOL!
