BM has always lived w/ her mom. My DH and I have suspected her mom was controling her and were told once that she had been hit by her mom, but we never expected this.
I'll start here: My DH and BM signed a rule 11 agreement (I wrote)in October. Since then things have gone smoothly and actually been pleasant. BM and I got close and I seemed to have become one of, if not the only, person who really cared about her. She even called me when her most recent looser jerk BF cheated on her and dumped her. BM and her mother invited me to my SD's B-day at their house and my HD and I invited them to her party with all of our family. Things were great, I should have known there was about to me drama. AT the start of August my HD took my SD over to BM's mother's house where BM's maternal grandmother provides daycare for her during her possession. This was the first time SD was going to be over there for several days since my HD's summer possession started in June. We spread his three periods of ten days each out so in combination w/ his wknds SD is w/ us all summer evcept for a few overnights w/ BM. Anyway, HD dropped her off @ 10:30 am, then @ 8:30 pm I get a call from BM's mom on my cell asking if I could come get SD because she and BM got into it, BM was drunk and "Things got pretty bad." My HD and I were in route when I then got a call from BM on my cell. She was sobbing and crying and finally spit out, "My Step-dad dragged me around the house by my hair and my mom beat the s--t out of me!":jawdrop:
MY HD and I decided if she looked bad we would take her and SD home w/ us. Sounds crazy, but BM also didn't have her car at the time because she let some other looser, jerk that she claims she was never dating, borrow her car and he ran it into a huge puddle of water and ruined the engine. No, I'm not making this up. When we got there she was pretty messed up, not bleeding but we decided to take her with us when her mom said, "now I'm not gonna lie to you, I beat on her pretty good." BM spent the night on the floor in SD's room and you better believe I didn't get a wink of sleep.
The next day I took her to work, then she told me her mom kicked her out and she started staying w/ her ex-fiancee's mother. Then three days later she tells me her mom text her that she missed her and she was living at her house again, and the worst part, she asked if my HD and I would bring SD to her over there the next day!!! We filed for primary and SD is restriced from being over at BM's mother's, but of course BM has no idea why we are doing this and has told 3yo SD that daddy dosen't like her.
Well, there's more to it but my real question is, has this ever happened to anyone else? If so how does it turn out?
