bm-sd wb obese in just a few years

so dh called his 2 dd's this afternoon just to chat and OMG his eldest that is already over weight and supposed to be trying to lose weight and at 4 in the AFTERNOON she's FN asleep.....REALLY? AT 14! shouldn't she be outside playing?

Has anyone checked her Thyroid? She might have an under active Thyroid, which would cause her to sleep like that and have weight problems. Just a thought, but find out if there is a medical reason.

it COULD be, but bm has sole custody, and refuses to "admit" to any issues her dd may have (she's adhd-and bm refuses to put her on meds) although there's a big controversy about that, sd did do better while on them, and struggles BIG TIME socially

me personally, knowing what i know, it's a self esteem and depression issue (you may have seen my previous post) but after 4 years, and one sd cutting her self bm is JUST admiting that they both have issues that have been neglected (dh can't do anything about it, she has full custody)
