Happily wed... and no biomom at our reception!

Hi, all!

Hope everyone's doing well. Nice to see a few new users since I last logged in. This is a GREAT site and I've found it so helpful to vent to others who understand what this is like. I hope all of you new girls enjoy it as much as I do.

Our May wedding was perfect! I was worried about my SS's mommy picking him up at our reception and the distraction that could cause (espcially for me 'cause I was probably the most worked up about it). Thank goodness for our niece who took our dear boy home for us. Nobody's night was disrupted in the least. My mother-in-law, aunts, and sister-in-law didn't want her anywhere near the place and none of us had to deal with it. The happiest day of my life could not have been any better.

I'm so glad for you

It's nice when family comes together to make a special day like your wedding go just like you wanted. Who wants their husbands ex anywhere near your wedding or reception?

When we got married we made a fake invite for the boys to play with. It had the wrong location & time on it. You never can be too careful when your wedding only 5 blocks from your hubbys ex's apartment.

As far as I know she stayed home & drowned her sorrows. We felt pretty good about the ruse.

what an exciting time in your life. I am glad it all happened the way you wanted it to. This is one of the many experiences you will have in your life where you have to give thought to what the X will do next and ways you can either prevent it or enlist help to get through it. You can chalk this one up as a victory.
