KICKING & SCREAMING....AGAIN
ONCE AGAIN WE GO TO PICK UP SS LAST LIGHT AND HE IS THROWING A FIT. HIS GRANDMA WAS PHYSICALY FIGHTING WITH THE KID TO TRY AND GET HIM ACROSS THE STREET TO THE PARKING LOT WHERE WE ARE COURT ORDERED TO PICK/DROP HIM OFF. HE HAS GOTTEN TO BIG FOR HER TO HANDLE. WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER SHE COULD JUST CARRY HIM OVER TO US. BUT NOW HE OVERPOWERS HER. AFTER 15 MINUTES WATCHING THIS WE DECIDED TO PULL UP TO HER HOUSE (WHICH WE ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO DO). AT THAT POINT MY STEPSON WAS YELLING THAT HE HATES US AND HE HATES OUR HOUSE AND HE DOESN'T WANT TO GO WITH US.

I love the hoildays but hate living by ss court ordered schedule!!!
I really love this whole season. Thanksgiving and Christams and the snow and all the yummy food and family gathering. But darn it... I really get tired of all these events having to be planned according to some court ordered hoildays setup! Half the time we don't even get to celebrate the hoilday on the actual day and its getting old. I want to include my ss, I really do but sometimes I just feel like my son is getting a crappy deal. We have another baby on the way and I really want to have a normal christmas morning for them, the way I did. I'm sorry, I'm just venting.
KICKING & SCREAMING???
Last night we went to pick my stepson up for our regular Tuesday visit. He came kicking & screaming and yelling that he hates coming to our house and wants him mom. I have no idea why he would act this way. At that point I wanted to turn the car around and leave him at his grandma's house. We meet at a parking lot directly in front of his grandma's house (her mom) and she walks him across the street to us. He was hitting her and crying and making a huge scene. This really hurt our feelings.

rough draft letter to stepssons mom regarding new baby
"We are expecting our second child together in late spring/ early summer. We have explained this to Jacob. We wanted to let you know so that if he has any questions we can all be prepared to make the transition as smooth as possible."
How does this sound any suggestions?
I want to scream!!
You know what really pisses me off. My mother in law. No matter what I do for stepson, its not good enough! I am sorry that I don't have the same bond with stepson as I do with my bio son but why is it her job to constantly compare the two!!! I could compare too!! In my opinion SHE favors stepson, and that is fine with me. So why does she feel so high and mighty to judge me. Examples I could let her have a peice of my mind. My sons baptism, she got "timmy" a whole bunch of presents. For my sons birthday, "timmy" got a few presents too.

Still haven't told stepson about baby
We discussed how we would handle this pregnancy BEFORE we even got pregnant. We decided that since stepsons mom made things extremly difficult with our first pregnancy, we wanted to wait until at least 4-5 months in to break the news. We planned on telling him during one of our weekend visits and send him home with a letter telling her the news. At first we planned on not saying anything to her at all and let stepson tell her if and when he chose to but then we were scared that she would take it out on him and didn;t want that either.
